Old Red Lion

What a beautiful home for a weekend away! We arrived as a group of 8 and the house couldn’t be more perfect, all of the rooms are beautiful and large! Two stunning lounges with an incredible book collection, three toilets and a stunning, well equipped kitchen! The house is also perfectly situated in central Blandford Forum down a quiet, private road with lovely neighbours and space for 3 cars, but just minutes walking from shops and restaurants! All of us have said how we would love to stay here again, perfect for a celebration, a family getaway, Christmassy break or just time away!

My family loved our stay at the Old Red Lion House Airbnb! My husband and I stayed here with my husband's parents, and we were very comfortable during our stay, and Blandford Forum was the perfect base for nearby sightseeing in Dorset. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the living space was very comfortable for relaxing each evening. The home is cozy and beautiful! Hilary is a great host, and provided all the information we needed, and clear instructions for everything we needed in advance. Highly recommended!

We stayed at the Old Red Lion for a few days while attending a family wedding at the nearby Larmer Tree Gardens. The house was absolute perfect for us (a group of 8 adults) - very well located, spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed and more! We particularly loved the charming interiors. The Old Red Lion was the perfect location for a reunion with our Southampton friends. The house was wonderful and provided all the accommodation we needed and felt welcoming and characterful. We were lucky with the weather and were able to take advantage of the garden which was bursting with spring flowers. The bottle of Prosecco left by Hilary in the welcome pack went down very well in the sunshine! Blandford Forum is a great town with everything you could possibly need on the doorstep. We literally parked our cars and that’s where they stayed for the 5 days we were there. Thank you X

We had a fantastic stay at The Old Red Lion, it felt like the luxury of a boutique hotel with the warmth and comfort of a welcoming home. Extremely spacious and proved perfect for our big family getaway with 6 adults and 2 children, the latter of which found the house and their bedroom magical with so many books and games to explore. The location in the centre of town was great yet it was super quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend a stay particularly if you have a special occasion to celebrate!
