Old Red Lion

My stay at the Old Red Lion House couldn't have been better; It is a lovely and exceeding comfortable home with much character and Hilary is an exemplary host. The neighbours are also very welcoming and Blandford Forum is a very pleasant town and well-placed to visit local attractions such as Poole, Durdle Door, Corfe Castle and so on. We found it an ideal focal point from which everything was within a 30-minute drive. For a holiday in Dorset I would look no further.

Hilary’s home is absolutely beautiful! It was easy to locate due to the instruction pack Hilary included, which was very clear and helpful. My family and I visited Blandford Forum for a story telling event in Cranborne, local pub grub and drinks were superb. The home accommodated 8 people with ease, the communal area of the lounge and kitchen was ample for sitting down, chatting, and catching up on the days events. There is a perfect blend of style and homeliness :) the log burner cranked out a superb amount of heat too! Hilary’s communication and response time was impeccable, thank you again!

We four friends really enjoyed our stay in Blandford Forum. The house was great - it worked brilliantly for us, allowing us each our own bedroom, two sitting-rooms and two bathrooms to share between four of us. We loved dining in - everything being easy to use and accessible. We loved the quirky corners and features in the house and managed to navigate the stone staircase even in our rather mature years 😉 There was a lovely welcome tea tray, comfortable beds and soft towels apiece. We would definitely return to this lovely house tucked away in a quiet spot just literally off the high street.

WOW what a stunning house, we had the most fantastic time, this really is a little (big) gem. So much space, gorgeous thoughtful interiors and welcome treats left for us. The beds were super comfy and the kids toys went down a storm with the children. We will definitely be coming back. The area is beautiful and not far from stunning beaches. Hillary is a 5* host communication was excellent. Fantastic relaxing weekend away.

Most comfortable home from home. Beautifully furnished, incredible comfortable, warm, lots hot water for a bath, fully equipped kitchen, great off street parking, lovely log fire and delightful neighbours. Nicest airbandb we have stayed in ever!!
