The Experience

Gather with loved ones in this much-loved family home with generous ceiling heights and bi-fold doors making it light and airy. You can retreat to the fire-warmed, book-lined living room for reading or board games while teens escape to the snug for an Xbox session. Upstairs, four delightful bedrooms promise a peaceful night.

You’re on the edge of Bembridge, a minute’s walk to the high street for independent shops. Pick up fresh catch from the fishmonger and treats from the farm shop and artisan bakery. The sociable kitchen makes cooking a joy, there’s a super dining room for celebratory dinners and French windows open to the terrace for an aperitif while supper simmers. Children can charge about on the lawn, play croquet or a classic giant game – connect four, snakes and ladders, draughts.

The boat-bobbing harbour and some majestic coastal paths are close and it’s a delightful stroll through woods to a pub, The Pilot Boat, and the start of the Bembridge beaches.

The neighbourhood

The village route to the beach passes right through the High Street with its butcher, good pub, grocer, pharmacy and Lagom for an excellent coffee. The harbour is a hive of activity and there is annual Jazz on the Quay and the Bembridge Harbour Family Fun Weekend. Brading Roman Villa and its superb mosaics is a 10-minute drive.
