Steading Cottage

We spent a week here, from 11 - 17 Oct 2019. Amazing location, so quiet and peaceful. Surrounding area is excellent with lovely walks along the Pentland Hills, offering amazing views. The cottage was clean and to a very high standard. Susan had provided jams and scones for our arrival! The cottage is located as past of a renovated farmhouse, about 10 mins. up a farm track from the A class road, A702, NW of Penicuik. We will certainly return. Well done to the owners, who couldn't be more friendly and helpful.

An amazing location with stunning views and walks. The cottage was beautiful, very comfortable, very well equipped, and extremely well presented.

I have stayed here a few times and it's a great place to switch off but not that far from the city.

If you are looking for the perfect idyllic location but you don’t want to be too far from Edinburgh then I highly recommend this place. Four fantastic cottages,each with their own unique character and furnished to an exceptionally high standard. The location is absolutely stunning no matter what time of year you visit and Susan is the perfect host. The welcome home-baked scones are a classy touch especially. We had an absolutely fantastic time here and I would have to say that never mind visiting we just wanted to stay full time. Book a break here,you certainly won’t be disappointed.

We have been visiting the Scottish borders for many years and without doubt this property takes every box on our agenda. It is beautifully situated in the heart of the Pentland Hills, all the properties are extensively equipped, well appointed and comfortable, Conveniently situated for all aspects of Edinburgh life and indeed so accessible to the whole of the south of Scotland.. Couple that with a warm helpful, and friendly hosts and one would be hard pushed to find a more attractive Holiday home in Scotland, or indeed in the United Kingdom,
