If you want conviviality for two, choose to share your host’s stylish and peaceful top-floor flat, its immaculate blue bedroom and en suite bathroom with a private loo just over the passage. Rosemary will chat about her many-facetted traveller’s life, serve breakfast on the pretty balcony or at the walnut table in her relaxing chiaroscuro living room. If you prefer privacy for two to four, choose the modern 3rd-floor apartment in chocolate and fire-red and breakfast at your own table. Rosemary knows a million Parisian things and will point you to the Paris that suits you. You will be well cared for.

Reviews

Comfortable, spacious, cozy, clean, quiet, centrally-located, well-appointed apartment, with the most gracious, considerate hostess! Rosemary took care of us from even before our arrival, with perfect directions and travel tips. We began our stay in Paris by sharing a cup of tea and lovely conversation on her beautiful balcony, and on our last night she invited us to enjoy a bottle of 03 Burgundy with her! She is delighted to share her wealth of knowledge about Paris. The apartment has every convenience - elevator, washing machine, kitchen items, linens, guide books - and Rosemary is a joy.

The moment we punched the code to open the heavy wooden doors in Rue deClichy we entered a quiet heavenly courtyard, gardens ahead of us in central Paris. The 5th floor apartment was lovely. Spacious and cosy. Our hostess Rosemary was an English Rose, but one steeped in Parisian specialities and her own quartier. Patisseries and typically French restaurants and places to enjoy to add to your own lists. Her warmth and range of conversation was compelling. A short stay will no doubt be repeated by a longer one sometime soon. We loved No 52 and Rosemary.

Rosemary was and still is a delightful hostess. Our morning talks over breakfast were the bright spots of our rainy cold stay in Paris. She was our Mary Poppins, pulling anything we needed from her magic bag. I still haven' t found a 240-120 voltage converter anywhere else, but she was equipped with one. She went out of her way to serve fresh and assorted breads and pastries, tea, yogurt, and jams each morning, with info on how to tell good from bad baked goods. Her guest rooms were a delightful start to our two month European trip.

A lovely hostess and lovely flat in a great location. Breakfast comprised fresh fruit, breads and pastries from local shops; particularly good on the balcony on sunny mornings. The flat is peaceful and feels very safe. Can’t really think of any way it could be better!

Oliver

Wonderful stay: great accommodations, gracious host, close to everything we wanted to see. Would love to return ourselves and would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Rosemary is a lively and attentive host. She plies you with some of Paris's most delectable patisserie. The apartment has a patio with a southerly aspect, perfect for a sunny afternoon. If you are looking for English hospitality in comfortable surrounds in Paris, look no further.

This property is ideally located for exploring Paris. It is incredibly peaceful given it is in such a central location. The most memorable part of my stay was the fascinating discussions over the breakfast/dinner table with the owner, Rosemary. She can provide a unique insight into Parisian life that you won't get in any hotel or indeed I imagine most B&Bs. Rosemary really does welcome you into her home and make you feel comfortable and relaxed. I'd highly recommend this as a place to stay in Paris, whether on business or pleasure.

David

Wonderful location and hospitality. Looking forward to my next visit.

Dawn

Perfect location, charming, wonderful hostess Rosemary is a wealth of great recommendations and knowledge, perfect breakfast to start each day. It's not in a touristy area, live like a local but close enough to so many of Paris' great attractions (within walking distance or by public transport).

  • Award-winning image consultant & voted 'Best Image Consultant in Paris in 2017 by Expatriates magazine, Rosemary can help you to understand your best colours & styles and even take you on a personalised shopping trip to create your own Parisian style.
  • Download Rosemary's FREE Paris guide to Living like a Local from her website and make your trip the best possible with all her helpful tips. Ranked in the Top 10 of all +/-9500 properties on TripAdvisor in Paris, take her recommendations!
  • Best free museum is the Musée de la Vie Romantique, just steps away. It has a great outdoor café open mid-March to mid-Oct. Favourite museum is l'Orangerie, dip into Impressionist art plus THE waterlilies without being overwhelmed.
  • In 5 mins you can walk to the base of Montmartre; sleep peacefully but be so close to the cafés, restaurants & little shops that make up this vibrant, local, artist community. Ask for my restaurant recommendations or get them from my website.
  • Test the organic market on Saturday mornings at Place de Clichy or the huge local market at Barbès. Direct metro rides will take you to the most famous flea market Puces de Saint Ouen or the more manageable Puces de Vanves.
  • Mobility problems? Wheelchair friendly B&B has no steps to climb and an elevator to the door. Need to be able to take a few steps to access the toilet and to get onto the balcony. If completely wheel-chair bound, '52 Clichy Apartment' is ideal.
