Crookwath Cottage

Such a dreamy cottage made even more wonderful by Richard and Gina (our hosts) and their gorgeous black lab! The cottage is all that you see in the photographs and much much more. Three of us couples had enough places to sit together and chat as well as drift off to do our own things. The kitchen - diner had the energy of such great evenings and the first time we used an Aga. Spring lamb to pork dishes and even focaccia bed was baked and I credit it all to the energy of this beautiful place. I hope I can come again soon! The great outdoors was heady with long walks & drives & plenty of sun!

What a lovely, serene, peaceful setting with wonderful views all round. Lovely walks to Aira Force and so enjoyed Lucy’s Wood. Thanks Richard for all your hospitality and kindness. We loved being here,

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful location, celebrating a special birthday as a family, with six-months-old baby and two dogs. Very warm, spacious and comfortable - and peaceful. Wonderful walks in Lucy's Wood and beyond, and all the facilities we could possibly need. Thank you!

We had a simply wonderful time staying a week at this magnificent cottage in the most beautiful of vallleys. The views were extraordinary, matched by the kindness and generousity of our hosts Richard and Gina. We were especially privileged to be guests, on a superb summer’s evening, at a concert held in Lucy’s wood - a very special place. Gina’s paintings - found in the cottage and in the local pub - are a great inspiration. They well reflect this very unique place.
