The Experience
You are in the heart of a beautiful village – brimming with Cotswold stone walls, tiled roofs, hanging baskets, two churches, cricket ground and jolly pub. This converted 1651 barn shares the owners’ drive; Karen and Paul, green-fingered, open their garden for cream teas in June. Step in to find ground-floor bedrooms, not huge but with thick mattresses and goose down, one with a charming wrought-iron bed, and super bathrooms with travertine floors and glass-tiled showers. More stylishness awaits at the top of the central spiral stair, where ancient oak beams support a large luminous living space of spotlit walls, wooden floors, charcoal sofas… and books, games, retro CDs, DVDs, freeview TV and wood-burner for cosy evenings in. To the side is the kitchen, a convivial space in which cooks can chop and stir. Walks are marked and gloriously rural; Stratford (for theatres) and Cheltenham (festivals and races) are close. Karen, a keen runner and mountain biker, will help you plan routes, and Bredon Hill beckons between old thatched roofs – take time to discover more.

Just returned from our first visit to The Old Post House Barn and it certainly won't be our last. What a wonderful, cosy, relaxing place. Spotlessly clean and extremely well fitted out with everything you need and the personal touches from Karen are so kind and thoughtful. Great position in the area with wonderful walks on the doorstep and great pubs locally. Thank you Karen, we can't wait to come back.

Quiet, easy to get to location in beautiful village which is off the tourist track. Many points of interest in the North Cotswolds and Vale of Evesham are just a short distance away, but location is good for walking and exercise: great views from the top of Bredon Hill and the footpath starts across the road. The barn is immaculate, comfortable and well equipped, Karen is welcoming but never obtrusive. The pub is just across the road with a large garden for anyone worried about social distancing, but watch the portion sizes!

The Old Post House Barn is a gem of a find; what’s not to like!! Karen and Paul are great hosts and the barn is so welcoming, spotlessly clean and cosy, with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. It’s a great base for exploring, not only The Cotswolds but also lesser known areas to the west. As walkers we were spoilt for choice with routes possible straight from the cottage. This was our third stay and It definitely won’t be our last.

Just returned from reunion with dear friend at this gorgeous, spacious barn. What a find! It's warm, and supremely comfortable- beds, towels etc are exactly as you would want them, bathrooms beautiful and sparklingly clean. Sofas are perfect for sinking into for long leisurely chats by the fire, the kitchen has everything you need. The little garden is delightful. Location is perfect for Cotswolds tours -Hidcote, Broadway, Chipping Campden, are all less than half an hour away. Karen is a charming host (flowers, Prosecco in the fridge) and makes you feel very welcome and well looked after.
