At high tide the sea laps the garden of this glorious place: take the wing of the main house, or stand alone. Rugs, sofas, turf for fires...

You wander through these woods, weaving your way through the undergrowth – until suddenly you arrive at the shore. The magical bay will steal your heart away. Along the headland, castle turrets peer over trees: Alan's birthplace. At high tide, the sea laps the garden; take the boat, spot a seal. At low tide, walk to an island, spot an otter. The Stoneys are a warm, humorous young family. The Wing, at one end of their superb modern house, has space, light, old fireplaces, a green and yellow kitchen with matching china and, upstairs, a deeply comfortable master bedroom. The Waterfall House stands alone, spreading its generous windows before a south-facing terrace, all in spanking new quality and, again, decorated for comfort and æsthetics with modern sofas and country antiques, thick rugs and good pictures. In the natural garden you will discover a little stream and an extraordinarily rare Chinese Fern Tree. The games room is for all, so is the tennis gear. Turf for fires is provided within reason; hot water is solar. An exceptional place... for fishing, boating, birding or just being.

Fantastic local produce available - prize winning butcher in nearby Newport, Country market in Westport and Mulrany full of organic produce, home baking and crafts. Fresh fish available in Newport and Achill.
Boat trips available from the house - short trips to enjoy the spectacular views of Clew Bay or a longer fishing trip available. Catch fresh mackerel for your supper when they are biting!
Waterfall House has a lovely south facing terrace suitable for reading and relaxing - or for exercising small people! The Annexe master bedroom has Stunning views of Clew Bay and Croagh Patrick from the balcony.
