The Experience

The rooms are a reasonable size and there’s everything you need to be comfortable and cosy, including books and toys for children, good WiFi and a smart TV. Views soar from every window, bedrooms are welcoming (the dining room can double as another) and fabrics in curtains and cushions are bright and pretty. The well-equipped kitchen is down a few steps with lovely old quarry tiles and views to the field of rare long horn cattle. You’ll find eggs from the owners’ hens and all the basics in the cupboard.

Overton is a five-minute drive or a longer walk. Here you’ll find a butcher, a café and two gift shops. The Boat pub is over an hour’s walk but Annie plans on getting a boat to take you across the river which would cut it down to ten minutes – great fun too!

A patio overlooking the generous garden has table, chairs and a barbecue – perfect for an evening drink while the children play on the lawn.

Introducing

Annie-Rose & Ed

Annie and Ed bought the main house some years ago and have spent a long time renovating it. They are interested in rare breed stock (hence the cattle) but plan to branch out into sheep and pigs too. They are developing their kitchen garden to be more self-sufficient. Annie runs wreath making courses at Christmas which you're welcome to book onto. You are looked after by Melissa the housekeeper.
