Updating your Sawday’s page

It's always important to make sure your Sawday's page is up to date. Not only will it ensure you are in the best possible position to welcome guests, it also helps you to meet their expectations and needs from the get-go. From photos to points of interest, we list the most important things to check over.

Photo gallery

Photos are one of the first things guests will see when scrolling through search results or collections, so it’s important to make a great first impression. Owners who have followed our photo advice have seen their page views increase by 74% on average.

We appreciate it may be difficult to get someone to take new photographs right away, but there are still some small changes you can do that will make an impact. For example, we would suggest swapping any autumnal or wintry photos you currently have to something more spring and summer-like. You are welcome to rearrange the order of your photo gallery too, so don’t hesitate to move images of your barbecue area, pool, bicycles or gardens closer to the beginning so that guests can see them quicker.

Special offers

Special offers are a brilliant way to entice guests to stay in your place. To kick things off, you may want to offer a money-off incentive or simply provide a free bottle of bubbly on arrival. Not only do guests love thoughtful touches, but it helps to make your special place to stay stand out amongst competitors.

Points of interest

We know that there are some practical aspects of travel that will be very important for guests going forward, such as cleanliness and hygiene, retaining social distancing measures and sourcing food.

As such, it is beneficial for you to update your points of interest with details on the following: hikes that guests can take from the door (or close by) plus local secret beaches and other nature spots where guests can get away from the crowds. It is also useful to include information on your local delis or farm shops that are offering collection, take-away or delivery services for fruits, vegetables, meats, fish and even ready meals. The more specific you make this section the better as it will give guests all the information they need before going ahead and enquiring.

You are welcome to make these changes yourself via the member area. However, please members@sawdays.co.uk if you have any problems.
