- You’re in the middle of town so it won’t be hushed
- The lawn is astroturf, rather than grass
The villa is totally separate from the fabulous hotel but also just next door if you feel like a sneaking off to have a massage at the spa or a drink at the bar. I really love the hotel and the family who own and run it, welcoming everyone like an old friend. The Ile de Ré can get quite glamorous, but the hotel and villa have retained a warm authenticity.
