The Experience
Such a close and welcoming family, whose kindness extends to include you. It’s a magnificent place, with innumerable expressions of history, taste and personality, and gracious Séverine and Bertrand, young parents, treat you like friends. A sitting room with sofas and a view of the park, an Italianate hall with sweeping stone stair, classic French bedrooms in lavender, blue, cream… an original washstand, a canopied bed, a velvet armchair. Everywhere a feast for the eyes; paintings, watercolours, antiques. Outside, 40 acres of river, meadows, lake, ice house, tennis court, pool, and a potager worth leaving home for.

Location
The neighbourhood
Local points of interest from Séverine & Bertrand de Guébriant
- Loïk de Guébriant, the current owner of the Castle of Craon, was born in 1954 in the château de Craon. The castle has been in the same family since 1837 and Bertrand, Loïk’s son, is living in the castle since march 2018, with his wife and their 5 children.
- The castle is surrounded by a 47 hectares park, including a French-style garden, an English garden, a 19th century “glacière”, an old lavoir on the banks of the river "oudon" which flows through the park and a magnificent vegetable garden!
- In addition to the guest rooms there are 3 cottages in the park of the castle in which you can stay with family of 4 to 14 people. Ideal for family reunions or holidays! The cottage of "west wing" is inside the castle.
- Every year, the third weekend of October, "L'Automne en fête" takes place in the chateau of Craon. In the park’s walks, lovers of old cars, hunting and venery gather and gourmands feast themselves on the market of the soil!
- sports: swiming pool and tennis court, footing, nautic base at 8 km, hoorse riding in the town of Craon, golf at 30 km from Craon.
- You can visit a "zoo" : refuge de l'arche at 18km from Craon, a museum "le musée Robert Tatin" at 10 km from Craon, the" châteaux de la Loire", Mont Saint Michel, Angers, Rennes, at 1 or 2 hours from Craon
