The Experience

The four storeys are connected by a stone stairway – it’s a tall house. The open-plan living area is on the first floor and you can glimpse the lake while you eat at the wooden table. There’s ample room for all to sit comfortably – choose a book from the shelves or chat to those cooking in the little kitchen, where you’ll discover basics for cooking and a small welcome pack with prosecco. White walls give a light, uncluttered feel; furniture is a mix of antique and modern.

At the front entrance you can sit in a little patio area with a table, chairs and seating – lovely for a morning coffee or an aperitivo, while you listen to neighbours talking Italian or walking past. Next door is a small family-run food shop and a very short walk will take you to Albergo Ristorante Vapore specialising in the freshest fish and with homemade puddings.

Take a turn by the lake before retiring to comfortable bedrooms, all with their own bathrooms.
