Sant Rafel has kept its charm, and its restaurants are among the best on the island. Surrounded by beautiful forested hills, Hotel Rural Can Lluc is close by (only 3km), as is everything else here: beaches are a 15-minute drive and each corner of this little island, no more than 30. Everything smacks of perfection here, from the cool gardens to the rustic-chic communal spaces. The farmhouse itself is a beauty and the land produces almonds and vines. You could happily spend all day lolling under the palms, dividing blissful time between jacuzzi and saltwater pool. Most of the bedrooms are where the animals once slept – not that you’d know: the exposed stones and timbers gleam, the beds are of wood or wrought iron, the colours are restful, the bathrooms small but delightful. Some rooms have a jacuzzi, some a terrace, some are apartments with kitchenettes. More rooms in the new building by the pool: some big, some small, all fabulous. There’s a cosy sitting room with rural Ibizan touches, a dining room with wood-burners and modern art… shady terraces, a spa, a small gym, and breakfasts bright with fresh fruit, pastries and jams from the farm. New, one mile away: a self-catering house with a pool, as perfect as all the rest!
We have been visiting Can Lluc for many years now and always have the most amazing time. The hotel is set in a beautiful location and is incredibly peaceful but with easy access to as much fun as you can handle! The staff are low-key but always attentive and nothing is ever too much trouble. If you’re looking for a chilled out break with the option of dipping in and out of the partying, this place would be hard to beat.
