The Experience

Those who love boats and boating will be transfixed at the windows watching the river traffic and you’re in prime position to enjoy the fireworks on the last day of the regatta week in August. Five comfortable bedrooms (four of which have glorious views) are stylish and sleek with home-baked cookies, espresso coffee machines, fresh milk and bathrobes so you can make yourselves at home. There is a small guest sitting room downstairs too where you can read a book or simply relax.

Wake to breakfast in the dining room at individual tables. Homemade compotes, bacon and sausages from the Dartmouth butcher, local smoked salmon and eggs, bread from the Paignton bakery, French toast with strawberries and blueberries, pancakes with banana and maple syrup and good veggie alternatives. On warm days take a deckchair to the embankment opposite and feel part of the throng.

A fabulous, cheery place to stay and you can walk to everything.

Reviews

A stunning property in a stunning location. Jon and Julie are friendly and welcoming and keen that their guests experience the absolute best that Dartmouth has to offer. Gorgeous rooms tastefully decorated in coastal colours and breakfasts all locally sourced ensure the most memorable stays. Waterfront House has the most beautiful views across the river Dart too. Unforgettable.

The neighbourhood

Introducing

Jonathan Wade

Jon and Julie lived in Bristol but used to come to Dartmouth regularly to sail, and reckoned this was a grand spot to fulfil their dream of running a B&B. Julie's background is in hospitality and Jon is a builder, so between them they are a bit of a dream team. Jon did up the house and Julie knows just how to make your holiday memorable.
