The Experience

The view from your charming one-storey cottage is a knockout: rows of marching vines and then the rippling Cotswolds unravelling beyond, tempting you out for long walks. You’re on the Cotswold Way and it’s a 20-minute stroll to NT Crickley Hill for an Iron Age hillfort and panoramic views. If the weather is tempestuous, it’s just as nice to snuggle in front of the wood-burner, open a book from the shelf and cook a meal in the smart oak and glass kitchen.

The owners have thought of everything – tuck into your generous welcome pack, swing in the hammock, bubble in the hot tub or join a tour and tasting at the vineyard to sample their English bubbles, grown from vines on limestone terraces carved out by the Romans. On warm evenings it’ll be fun to fire up the barbecue and dine on the sunny patio.

Delightful Cotswold towns Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton, Moreton and Cheltenham are close. If you have extra guests, book the annexe too.
