The Experience

Come to roost here for a week or so and forget your earthly cares. You’ll feel completely private in your temporary home with a comfortable sitting room, TV, puzzles, cards and books for (very rare) rainy days, and you can nip out to pick fruit and vegetables in season from the owners’ fecund garden. Mostly you’ll be outdoors on the patio which leads out from the kitchen, dining al fresco from the barbecue, admiring the lawns, shrubs and mature trees, enjoying the total silence apart from birdsong, or slipping into your lovely pool to cool off.

You sleep in a high-ceilinged and beamed bedroom with swish wardrobes, a delightful absence of clutter and those views for your early morning cup of tea. The kitchen is fully equipped and you’ll find all the basics for cooking plus a welcome hamper of wine, pasta, local biscuits and salami.

Set off for guided Nordic walks high in the hills or wander through acres of vineyards from the door.
