The Experience
The Andalusia province of Cádiz is home to craggy mountains, oceans of palm trees, flamenco, festivals and a dreamy coastline. You stay in a thrillingly modern house with huge windows overlooking the infinity pool and out to the glittering coast. You can walk straight down to your (almost) private cove, or it’s a short stroll to the main beach for bars and restaurants.
The house is laid-out over two floors, most of the bedrooms and the roof terrace are on the upper floor, with the open-plan living space, pool and garden on the ground floor. Four bedrooms are en suite and the master has a bathtub. Make sundowners on the roof terrace a daily event, magic up feasts to eat inside or out, escape the heat in the Mediterranean garden.
Cycle and hike in the stunning Natural Parks, visit surfer-cool town Tarifa where you can hop on the hydrofoil to Tangier, take day trips to hilltop Vejer, cool Cádiz and laid-back Jerez.

Location
The neighbourhood
Roche is a residential neighbourhood with a local shop, pharmacy, children's playground and a couple of bars and restaurants. In high season beachside bars and cafés pop up. You're 10km from Conil for supplies and eating out, stock up on fresh fish at the Abastos market, open every morning Monday-Saturday. Vejer (a classic white hilltop town) is a foodie's dream. Flamboyant Seville is 1.5 hours.
Local points of interest from Andrew Platt
- Cadiz (pronounced Cadi by locals) is Spain’s southernmost mainland province and also the most southerly corner of mainland Europe. It is the meeting point for two continents and also for the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.
- These crossroads are reflected everywhere you look, from the regions’ culture and traditions and its architecture to its landforms and flora and fauna. 30% of the province is protected National Park
- This is one of the best places in the world to eat tuna. The main season is April to June, when the fish move into the Mediterranean to spawn, and you will find tuna on most menus, from the region’s most basic bars to its 7 Michelin-star restaurants
- The food markets are some of the best in Spain. See the 200kg tuna in Cadiz, visit the beautiful Mercado de Jerez designed by Monsieur Eiffel, or just pop down the road to Conil (8km), where the local market is open 6 mornings a week
- Cadiz (and Tenerife) are the best place to celebrate Carnival in Spain (February). And the Feria de Jerez (early May) is arguably the most beautiful of Spain's spring fairs (although Sevillanos will not probably agree!)
- The Costa de La Luz has some of Spain's best surf beaches. The best time of year for surf is September-March

Introducing
Andrew Platt
The property is manged by Andrew Platt, who has run his letting agency since 2006. He lives in the same ‘urbanización’ with his Spanish wife, and they could not be more helpful. Their aim is to help others discover the wonderful and relatively undeveloped areas of Spain that he and his young family love.
Amazing modern house with all comforts to enjoy a holiday by the Mediterranean sea, just a short walk on a private path from the house. All living areas are well designed to provide numerous occasions for family and friends memorable get-together. Bedrooms are charming and relaxing.
