The approach is pretty, along a green open valley, the family is charming, and the house is an immaculate longère. Bedrooms are large, inviting and contemporary, with original features and superb bathrooms. Two open to gardens and terrace, one is up an outside stair overlooking an ancient walnut tree, one overlooks the troglodyte caves and the last is a large wooden kota set among pine trees. For families, couples and seekers of peace: billiards, books, a warming wood-burner and communal kitchen. Table d’hôtes is great fun and dinners are delivered with enthusiasm and imagination; Nathalie grows organic vegetables for savoury crumbles and Nicolas loves his wines.
