The
Experience
The house is young and engaging – as are Tracey and Alex, new generation B&Bers. Come for charming bedrooms – two snug under the eaves, two in the smart oak-floored extension – roll top baths, pretty fabrics, thick white cotton, beams galore… and reflexology or a sauna in the garden studios; Tracey, once in catering, is a reflexologist. In the warm guest sitting/dining room find art, books, comfortable sofas and glass doors onto the terrace. Breakfasts are special with croissants and local eggs and bacon; dinners are delicious too, or you can head off to Ludlow and its clutch of Michelin stars.

My wife and I have used Sawday- recommended hotels and B&Bs in UK and in Continental Europe for many years. In terms of quality, comfort, lovely food, good taste and warm hospitality, Alex and Tracy at Timberstone provide the best we have encountered - anywhere! They thoroughly deserve their outstanding recommendation. Their warm and welcoming home is immaculate- beautiful fittings, lovely wooden floors, and great attention to detail. Dinner is especially worthy of note; why drive out when one can eat such beautifully prepared food. Breakfast too is excellent. What a peaceful location!

What a little gem in a stunning part of Shropshire ! Alex & Tracey have created such a warm & inviting atmosphere & certainly went the extra mile for us during our stay in more ways than one. Our dinner was delicious - duck breast cooked to perfection and the spread at breakfast was more in line with a 5* hotel. I can,t wait to return and next time it will be for more than 1 night ! Thank you.
