The Experience

This atmospheric turreted Renaissance château tucked on a green hillside with wooded valley views is just the ticket for special occasions, family celebrations and fun get-togethers. There are six lovely double bedrooms, each with a huge, cloud-comfy bed plus a large room for up to 6 (2 adults and 4 children), which families will love.

You can spread out in the salons with open fires, one on each of the three floors, cook wonderful feasts in the high-end kitchen and enjoy al fresco meals seated at two long tables on the terrace. Everything has been carefully considered from the stylish interiors to the underfloor heating, the games/TV room, the small library, office space and honesty bar.

Swim laps in the pool, walk or pedal for miles through woods and countryside, stock up on local produce at the Thursday market in Saint-Astier and return for a delicious barbecue and precious time spent all together.

Introducing

Don & Jennifer Macdonald

Jennifer and Don are originally from the US and lived and worked in Germany before deciding to open up a B&B and self-catering house. They looked at many properties, including a castle in Scotland and a big house in the Lake District, before widening their search to Europe. They looked at 75 properties in France before finally (and reluctantly) viewing Château de Belet, which turned out to be the one!
