The Experience

The main outdoor terrace is completely private. There’s no better place to be for a sundowner with memorable views over a verdant valley towards the Romanesque church on the opposite hill. Indoors is heated or cooled depending on the weather, with a pellet burner for chilly evenings. Find TV, books and board games in the sitting room and double doors which open onto the terrace.

Bedrooms, one downstairs, two up in the eaves and all with their own bathrooms, are very restful with thick toppers, Kerry’s art and photographs on the walls, and lovely views. The kitchen is gleaming and bristles with lots of kit and a welcome pack but you can have a chef if you prefer. The owners host watercolour painting courses in spring and autumn.

Sunny evenings with a barbecue on the terrace and the big table for al fresco suppers will put you in holiday mode – if you’re a bigger party you can take the next door house too.

Reviews

Stunning location and beautifully equipped cottage. The views from the terrace and hot tub simply stunning. Generous and helpful hosts. This is a fascinating part of France with lots to do for young and old. Thoroughly recommended.

Ann, Stratford upon avon

A beautiful place to stay. Fully deserving of its 5 star rating. Kerry and Tomas are excellent hosts. They think of everything. The accommodation is second to none. Comfortable and luxurious. All mod cons but retaining a lovely countryside feel. I was sorry when it was time to leave! I can’t wait to go back next year.

Elizabeth, Winchester

The cottage was superb and we really enjoyed the jacuzzi with the views. The hosts were so welcoming, we had a really relaxing time. exceptionally clean.

carrie, BRIGHTON

A wonderful time! Peaceful and joyful place for three generations to enjoy an overdue family reunion. The evening drinks on the terrace, overlooking the yellow colza fields are carved in our memories. The atmosphere is relaxing, the place is comfy and chic, we could chat endlessly over the gardens' visits and boat trips that we enjoyed daily. Kerry and Thomas helped us arranging our agenda, booking restaurants and we discovered the "black duck" a french pub across the meadows, where we could enjoy a good meal, just a few minutes walk away from the cottage. Great time, thank you!

Charlotte, Geneva

Had a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage, very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Kerry and Tomas were very welcoming and provided lots of suggestions for local restaurants, places to visit and sights. The view across the valley is stunning and the hot tub in the garden is the perfect spot to enjoy it with a glass oh local wine 🍷

Fiona, Norfolk

Really beautifully set up cottage with the most amazing view. The finish of the interiors is really 5 star and the outdoor space is perfect for sundowners and supper on the terrace. The hosts were great and provided really good suggestions for places to visit and eat to make the best of our stay. We would definitely re-book.

Di, Bristol

A lovely stone house bang in the centre of the Dordogne with huge expansive grounds, endless walks to do in the surrounding countryside and a fabulous pub in the hamlet a few minutes walk away. A brilliant base for holidaying in the Dordogne. The warm and friendly owners are just next door if you need anything.
