The Experience

You’ll feel very welcomed. Vincent can collect you from the station if you come by train and is also happy to drop off fresh baguettes and croissants from the local bakery in the mornings, or a full breakfast if you prefer. The living room is large and bright with stone walls, high ceiling beams and classic tomettes floor tiles. The owners’ house is also in the grounds and they run B&B but you’ll still feel private with your own front and back garden.

Bedrooms are spacious with French windows to the garden; bathrooms have showers and separate loos. The kitchen isn’t huge but has all the gear you need and you’ll find basics for cooking in the cupboards. Mostly you’ll eat outdoors – there are tables in both gardens, scented with climbers in summer. The hot tub is big enough to have a little swim.

Vincent can organise wine tours or a visit to his dad’s truffle patch and vineyard just up the road. Unwind here in the peace and quiet.

Reviews

Such a pleasure to drive up the "Montagne", through vineyards, and reach La Terre d'Or site. Vincent welcomed me and led me to Les Pins through the B&B's beautifully kept gardens. Enjoy the stunning views from the front garden, or a relaxing dip in your own hot tub in the back garden! Vincent's family know the area well so I would definitely sign up to one of their guided tours... a must!

Location

The neighbourhood

You're on a hill - locally known as La Montagne - high above miles and miles of vineyards and spectacular views of Beaune. A 5-minute drive will take you to a superb Saturday market, many restaurants, wine bars and shops. Visit the famous Hospices de Beaune, a medieval building. Between here and Dijon is the Route des Grands Crus with 38 famous wine villages. Great walk and cycle routes abound.

Local points of interest from Vincent, Christine & Jean-Louis Martin

  • We would love to take you on a special vineyard tours and help you travel like a local, taking narrow vineyard roads and visiting charming villages and old cellars. It's the best way to meet welcoming winemakers, taste great wines and have a great time.
  • Jurga is a sculptor and her sculptures are all around the garden, in the house and underground in the grotto. The are really so charming and alive that you expect them to move at anytime!
  • My mother Christine really has green hands, the multi level garden is so full of flowers and butterflies. You will see birds and squirrels.
  • Depending on your interests, we can suggest a daily itinerary with cultural visits and tastings: not only wine but the very best chocolate, mustard, truffle and home made jam! You want to bike or to walk throught the vineyards? We will help you a lot.

Introducing

Vincent, Christine & Jean-Louis Martin

It's a family affair. Jean-Louis and Christine transformed their family home into a B&B in 1999 and son Vincent joined them after spending some time in Lithuania and Normandy. Christine is the gardener, Jean-Louis tends to his vines, truffles and vegetable garden up the road. Vincent and Fabrizio look after guests, beautifully, and their knowledge of the area is unsurpassed so do ask them.
