The Experience

Inside is light, bright and airy with sleek lines, modern furniture and beautiful, original floor tiles. There are three bedrooms in the main house for B&B guests and a self-catering quirky casita with a large private terrace in the garden. Take breakfast in the formal dining room, or in the kitchen (depending on how good your Spanish is for chatting to the cooks) or on the terrace. Feast on Iberian ham, cheese and cured meats, smoked salmon, freshly baked breads and cakes.

Bedrooms are delightfully pared back and simple with very comfortable beds, balconies (one with its own jacuzzi) and plenty of seating areas if you prefer to be private. More sociable souls can relax in the reading room with its library, honesty bar and comfy sofas, or take root in the garden by the palm trees, chirruping birds and large salt water pool. It’s very peaceful here.

Treat yourselves to an evening drink, then wander out for dinner.

Reviews

Our hostess, Cheles, had a very warm welcome for us on arrival. She gave us great suggestions for restaurants and places to visit in Malaga. The Villa Elisa is beautifully restored and in a quiet location. Our accommodation, overlooking the garden, was very special. The centre of Malaga is only 25 minutes walk along the seafront and we also used the excellent bus service to & from the historic centre. Malaga is a real gem for a short city break and would highly recommend Villa Elisa for a relaxing holiday. Breakfast was delicious! Thank you Cheles.

I felt immediately at home here. You feel welcomed, cared for, it is comfortable, stylishly appointed, and makes you instinctively want to slow down. This is a perfect place to jump on a plane at the weekend to get away from it all but with the beauty of being so near to Málaga for everything this beautiful city now offers. I would definitely recommend.

Location

The neighbourhood

There are restaurants within a stone's throw of the villa. The city is dynamic and bustling, always with interesting new exhibitions in its many museums. You can hop on a bus to the train station for days out further afield or spend time exploring the vibrant culture. An evening at any of the beachfront chiringuitos is rewarding.

Local points of interest from Cheles Alcalá Arellano

  • Málaga is a city in constant turmoil. Its cultural and gastronomic offerings are boundless. Dozens of top-notch museums and splendid restaurants await you.
  • Strolling through the historic center of Málaga is always a pleasure, as is taking a leisurely walk along its promenade and relaxing at the beach "chiringuitos"
  • The province of Málaga also holds wonderful surprises for us; white villages and excursions in the mountains of Málaga can be a magnificent complement to your visit to the city of Málaga.

Introducing

Cheles Alcalá Arellano

Cheles, trained as an economist, ran her own business in Madrid for many years. She fell in love with Malaga and the villa and has restored the house for guests. She will welcome you with a drink on arrival and you are beautifully looked after at breakfast time by Nuria and Caty who prepare the food and are happy to chat if you prefer to eat in the kitchen.
